PHPpro 3 Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) I have a weird problem. I have several movies that are incorrectly identified despite having a correct .nfo file. In addition emby is creating a video_ts folder and placing the wrong .nfo in that folder. I would like to know how to fix this? I have tried deleting the video_ts folder and doing a local refresh, but emby just recreated the video_ts folder with the wrong .nfo again. Here are some screen shots, and the server logs. This is a screeshot of one of the folders that has the movie here is what it looks like in metadata manager here are my metadata settings here is the movie folder after doing a local refresh here are the server logs Log.txt The other problem is that I cannot play the movie. When I try it claims the movie does not exist Another movie that I have that is setup similar, but works fine here is the folder view here is the metadata view. I noticed that the file is included in the path for this one, but not the other Is there a way to manually edit the path so I can add the filename? Thanks for your help Edited April 27, 2016 by PHPpro
Luke 42085 Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 it thinks its' a dvd item for whatever reason. try deleting the video_ts folder, then rename the ghostbuters folder to something different and see if it happens again
PHPpro 3 Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 that worked, but I have about 150 movies that are behaving the same way. It would be nice not to have to rename all of them.
Luke 42085 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 It is possible that you used to have dvd rip structures at the same locations?
PHPpro 3 Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) I did, but I got rid of those before I started using emby. I still have others that I am converting. Are you saying that the only way to get emby to recognise a change from DVD format to encoded is to delete the video_ts folder, and then rename the parent folder? Edited April 28, 2016 by PHPpro
jacjr73 0 Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I am having the same problem where emby is adding a video_ts folder, even when deleted, it always returns. I too have over 150 folders with about 100 of them with this problem. However if i try to rename the folders, emby adds them back with the same file name and puts the video_ts folder back. What am i missing?
dejavux2 47 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I've had this happening as well. It seemed to be happening to movies that had <type>DVD</type> in the .nfo file. After changing <type>DVD</type> to <type>MP4</type> (or whatever the file actually is), then deleting the VIDEO_TS folder, it finally stopped creating the fake folder.
