emby creating video_ts folder

Recommended Posts

I have a weird problem. I have several movies that are incorrectly identified despite having a correct .nfo file. In addition emby is creating a video_ts folder and placing the wrong .nfo in that folder.

I would like to know how to fix this? I have tried deleting the video_ts folder and doing a local refresh, but emby just recreated the video_ts folder with the wrong .nfo again.

Here are some screen shots, and the server logs.

This is a screeshot of one of the folders that has the movie

The other problem is that I cannot play the movie. When I try it claims the movie does not exist

Is there a way to manually edit the path so I can add the filename?

Thanks for your help

it thinks its' a dvd item for whatever reason. try deleting the video_ts folder, then rename the ghostbuters folder to something different and see if it happens again

that worked, but I have about 150 movies that are behaving the same way. It would be nice not to have to rename all of them.

It is possible that you used to have dvd rip structures at the same locations?

I did, but I got rid of those before I started using emby.

I still have others that I am converting. Are you saying that the only way to get emby to recognise a change from DVD format to encoded is to delete the video_ts folder, and then rename the parent folder?

I am having the same problem where emby is adding a video_ts folder, even when deleted, it always returns.  I too have over 150 folders with about 100 of them with this problem.  However if i try to rename the folders, emby adds them back with the same file name and puts the video_ts folder back.  What am i missing?

I've had this happening as well.  It seemed to be happening to movies that had <type>DVD</type> in the .nfo file.  After changing <type>DVD</type> to <type>MP4</type> (or whatever the file actually is), then deleting the VIDEO_TS folder, it finally stopped creating the fake folder.
