Transcoding with External Player enabled

I am running Emby Theater 2.2.3 with Emby Server Version 3.0.5931.0 on Ubuntu 14.04.1. I have enabled MPC-HC as my external player in Emby Theater and I have correct path substitution set because I do get Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio to bitstream to my AV receiver; however, on the Emby Server Dashboard it shows the movie being played as transcoding instead of Direct Play. If I disable external player then I do get Direct Play being listed in the Dashboard. Is this a bug or a setup issue?

it's just an issue of display. it's direct playing.
