Emby Server (v 3.0.5931.0) Database Content?

Hi All

 

So is this update expected to require both a database upgrade and then a full exhaustive scan of the library before it works? My database appeared to upgrade in 20 mins, but nothing was there in term of watch status/summary/thumbnails etc

 

I thought the db upgrade would bring all that in? Otherwise....I dont get what the upgrade portion of the db was actually doing?

My server seems to be in ribbons since the upgrade. All metadata not being show. Scan of library taking forever...nothing seems to be happening in the server log.

So I continue to troubleshoot/panic 

 

It seems that the main problem is with TV metadata. And there seems to be correlation with shows that have metadata solely in nfo format, vs the old school Emby format (in that the former appear to have held metadata/status, and older style isnt). Mine is a historical library with a mix of both formats and I have both readers enabled.

 

I not loving the idea of having to wipe all the TV show metadata and start again losing watched status in particular., plus I have several massive manually applied metadata efforts in some older TV series in there. Also not sure why this is effect watched status etc of those shows, as my metadata is stored with the media, and the watch status is stored in the userdata_v2 file right?

 

Any chance I could get my hands on a pre-dbupgrade installer somehow to see if I could get back to where I was (even as a test)?

I have the same issue where my watched status has dissapeared...annoying; hopefully there is a fix so I don't have to manually go through.
