trusselo 225 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Currently Running Version 3.0.5105.17830 Just noticed that MediaBrowser has changed its naming convention for metadata ( ie what was disc.png is now moviename-disc.png, folder.jpg is now moviename-poster.jpg.... All fine and dandy but... all tv and movie items that get their metadata refreshed now has double metadata. old and new naming conventions... Look at this... one movie folder M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-banner.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-clearart.png M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-disc.png M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-fanart.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-fanart1.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-fanart2.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-logo.png M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-poster.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009)-thumb.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009).mkv M:\Movies\9 (2009)\9 (2009).xml M:\Movies\9 (2009)\backdrop.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\backdrop1.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\backdrop2.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\banner.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\clearart.png M:\Movies\9 (2009)\disc.png M:\Movies\9 (2009)\folder.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\list.txt M:\Movies\9 (2009)\logo.png M:\Movies\9 (2009)\movie.xml M:\Movies\9 (2009)\thumb.jpg M:\Movies\9 (2009)\trailers M:\Movies\9 (2009)\trailers\trailer.mp4
Luke 42077 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 ok, bug there. it should have recognized the existing ones.
trusselo 225 Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 is this related to the "Image naming convention" option? perhaps a "clear and convert" button
gjviii 48 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 that's the same issue I saw yesterday. I have been monitoring, but I thought it happened due to the server refresh happening the same time I hit a manual refresh from the MBC.
trusselo 225 Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) right now mediabrowser is going through my library adding extrafanart and extrathumbs folders to all movies... M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\backdrop.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\backdrop1.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\backdrop2.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\cdart.png M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\extrafanart M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\extrathumbs M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\folder.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\list.txt M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\logo.png M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\movie.xml M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\Orphan (2009).mp4 M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\thumb.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\trailers M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\extrafanart\fanart3.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\extrafanart\fanart4.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\extrathumbs\thumb3.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\extrathumbs\thumb4.jpg M:\Movies\Orphan (2009)\trailers\trailer.mp4 extrafanart and extrathumbs are the same images twice and they are also duplicates of backdrop images fanart4.jpg = thumb4.jpg = backdrop1.jpg fanart3.jpg = thumb3.jpg = backdrop.jpg thats triplicate of a 1080 image. just set it back to standard naming convention, restarted server. ran a file search in my movie folder for "extra type:folder" and deleted 3.5 GB of EXTRA images. Luke 42077 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 the extrafanart and extrathumbs are by design. you probably want to switch your image saving convention to the classic mb2 way if you don't like that. it's in metdadata settings. the third one is just a bug that i'll look into.
trusselo 225 Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 already did that, edit above same time as your post.
