Pancho 9 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Emby Server - Version Version 3.0.5913.0 Android TV App - 1.1.73g (running on ShieldTV - 6.0) Settings - Direct Stream Live TV - UNCHECKED due to oustanding issue in my prior post. TV - HDHomeRun Prime (x2) TV Provider - Comcast Updated to the latest ATV version 1.1.73g this morning. I am experiencing the app bombing out when I perform the following steps: Open Live TV Guide Choose Channel To watch (Ex. SyFy) SyFy channel begins transcoding Watch Live TV - no issue Exit out of channel (ex. after 10 seconds of watching live tv) Try to exit back to Main Emby Menu or choose another channel Receive Gray Screen - stating Emby isn't responding. Do you want to close it? I can easily replicate with multiple channels. Sometimes it requires that I Force Stop the app to get back in. I have done the basics, cleared the App cache, rebooted the Shield, etc., same issue every time. I wasn't sure how to send the logs from the app, since it bombs out before I can click the SEND LOGS icon. I have attached my server log (zipped for size), and 2 of the transcoding logs for reference. ebr 16169 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 And you are launching the channel from the Live TV Guide...? If you wait a few seconds after exiting the TV playback and then go back to the home screen, does it still crash?

It seems that after exiting the TV playback, if I wait 5 seconds I am able to browse the TV Guide without crashing. However, the moment I hit 'back' to get to the Home Screen, then it crashes. I tested this with multiple channels, same result (wait 5 seconds, can browse guide, hit back - crash the app). Edited April 17, 2016 by Pancho
ebr 16169 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 And you went directly from the home screen to the Live TV guide, or did you go through the "Live TV" library item? Based on logs I'm getting from you, I can see what the problem is but I cannot reproduce it. IMO it is a bug in the new image loading library I'm using. I've put an attempt to trap the problem into the next beta (will be up in a minute) but, since I can't reproduce the crash, I'm not sure it is going to work. So you'll have to test when you get it. Pancho 9 Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) Each time the app crashed, I always chose the LIVE TV GUIDE option (under ON NOW), NOT through the LIVE TV library. I noticed that my Emby Server docker had an update, and I went ahead and updated to Server Ver. 3.0.5930.0 here this evening. In addition, I updated my APP to version 1.1.74g. I no longer seem to experience the LIVE TV crash bug that I had before (using my same steps). I am unsure if it is the server update or the app, or both that resolved it. I will keep any eye on it to see if it occurs again. Edited April 18, 2016 by Pancho
