tre4b 4 Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 This is a weirdy. Live TV works fine for a couple of days on my QNAP. After that the live TV will just fail to stream with the circle going round forever. A reboot of the server makes it work again. At the time that the Live TV fails to connect if I connect using HDHomeRuns own app the TV stream works fine. It only seems to be Emby that has a problem connecting. Anyone got any ideas? The reboot pluggin doesn't seem to work for QNAP either as otherwise I would restart the app once a day or so to avoid the issue.
Luke 42077 Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Please see how to report a problem: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/790-how-to-report-a-problem/&do=findComment&comment=23949 Thanks.
tre4b 4 Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 I'm really sorry I know you always send one of these replies but I find it pretty much impossible to find the logs on the QNAP version of Emby. The server page tells me where they are but presumably the box hides them away in some kind of package store 'cos I can find no way to map to them and thus no way to send them to you. If perhaps rather than just a note of where they are the server page could open up the current log it would make getting support much more straight forward and would probably stop you having to send out one of these for every call. Maybe even a "Send error" option from the server screen would help. At this point I have three things that don't work properly and no way to report them so if you could help with how to give you the info you need I'd be grateful. Many thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Emby Server Logs There are multiple ways to access Emby Server log files. Logs can be accessed directly within the server's web interface by navigating to Help -> Logs.
tre4b 4 Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 Brilliant. ta for the help, I did not even think to look in help So this log covers today and goes across the period in the morning where it updates and where I tried to access it this morning. Ignore stuff before 5 my network is generally off between 2am and 5am. My HDHomerun is on 192.168.1.73 and I tried to use this for television at 06:20 this morning. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=50D4C3762CCD2008!385825&authkey=!AALp3WGUU3mOu8U&ithint=file%2ctxt Many thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Thanks, but you don't have to think about where to find logs, you just have to read the instructions that we provide. So by the same token, other requested information is missing as well.
tre4b 4 Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 Server version is 3.0.5913.0 I'm using the QNAP 32bit package downloaded from http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?t=109476 on a Qnap T251+ And the rest is at the top of the post. Still think a report an issue option would make your life easier though ;-) Just for reference the issue happens whichever client I use (Amazon fire and Web) so I'm pretty sure it is a server issue. This issue was not there a little while ago so it could be an update. I will load up the 3.0.5930 package tomorrow night if I get a chance
