Server webui "freezes" during library scan

Hello,

During the last few versions I have noticed that the server UI becomes unresponsive (un-reachable) during library scans at random times. I don't recall this being an issue in the past.

Ubuntu 15.10

Latest Stable build of Emby Server

"realtime" file monitor enabled

I have attached a log containing activity during the last "freeze" i noticed.

Thanks in advance,

Hi, try removing plugins and/or disabling the realtime monitor and see if the issue persists. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply Luke, I just disabled "real time monitoring" to see if that helps.  Looking at my log, there appears to be quite a few "errors" complaining about various "file not found", and "unknown user", etc.. Anything you can recommend to try to resolve these?

Also, I recently did a complete "purge" of emby-server and re-installed to try to "start from scratch".  After which I noticed that chapter image extraction  task only works for new files added after the restore, none of my existing files are have chapter images anymore.

Thanks again,

that's just the sync process from a mobile app trying to sync info about a user that doesn't exist anymore. i'll review that to make sure it stops trying to do it over and over. but that's harmless.

When I "purged" the original install I used the backup plugin to restore my configuration. Is it best not to do this?

No that's perfectly fine. We just need to update the sync process to realize that the user no longer exists and stop trying to download user info.

My unraid hp microserver also has problems to scan the media library, after a restart of Emby it also stalls, but not always at the same percentage. the log shows various errors, especially regarding iso-files and parsing xml-files. I removed some folders from the library but that didn't solve it. Adding them again leaves them 'unscanned' (no images and/or meta-data). I have had completed scans before, but I'm not sure if they were with the current version.

Update: I deleted one folder which I suspected was corrupt and the scan completed in just a few minutes.
