'Artist' page performance slow. Bug?

Hi,

 

I noticed that the web interface is (in regards to performance) quite usable with two exceptions in the music libraries: the 'artists' and 'album artists' tabs.

In my setup it usually takes 15-20 seconds to load one page. Sometimes even longer. In some cases the page loads but doesn't show any content!

 

I made some observations (with chrome dev tools):

- it doesn't matter how many items a library holds (tested one with 3000 and one with 180 artists).

- it doesn't really matter if I disable or enable my browser caches. Thumbnails, etc cache fine.

 

The request which is responsible for the delay:

Although the resulting JSON is only about 10-15kB in size, it takes > 15 seconds to generate it. I assume there is a problem with the database.

I also have this issue. It's in Firefox and in Chrome, don't have other browsers.

 

In Emby Theater these screens pop up instantly though.

Unfortunately no. Also no reaction. Should this be moved to the Linux Server subforum maybe?

 

A temporary workaround for me and my users is to use the Folders-tab which loads quickly. But there's no list view, only thumbnails. You have to scroll for ages on mobile devices with small screens.

@djonnie: Try the latest Beta. (I'm on Version 3.1.28.0, Linux). Artist Tabs load quite fast now!
