Server stoping and video stoping

I have a two part problem and they might be one is the same.  Ember server installed on a 2012 R2 server, 

1- Every now and then the emby server has stopped and I have to relaunch the service again to get emby server working. 

2- on every movie I watch about 3/4 of the way the move either stops playing or skips all around the movie. I have saved all my movies in a VTS format. 

 

any ideal on what I need to change to get this problem to fix them self.
