Sync dead yet still sending file

Is there any development in sync as it is quite buggy and very limited functionality?

 

1. Start sync on a file - I have tried both in Browser and Android with same result.

2. Give the sync some time to start or click on start sync.

3. Verified file size is growing in download location on Android

4. Click on Sync->Refresh sync.

5. File is cleared to 0 and download restarted from scratch(!?)

6. Click on cancel the sync. Job disappeared from both the Android and from webbrowser. Yet the file is continuing to grow as it's still pushed from server.

7. Restarted server. Still being pushed.

8. Stopped server. Connection finally killed, however now there is a 'dead' file in the download directory that does not appear in Sync nor is removed at any point.

 

I can clean up all those things, however at this point I can not trust at any time the sync functionality. Especially when you are on the road and synced your files to only find that at some point all your downloads were removed and you are now syncing again gigabytes of files remotely...

 

Any plans in showing the better progress of where is the conversion, where is the transfer status?

 

Is there any work done for sync functionality? I still would like to keep Emby as a one stop for all media, however for these types of bugs I also must keep the Plex around.
