BenDover 3 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Hey guys, Randomly, probably after the last update actually, I started getting .NFO files being created in my TV shows\Seasons folder. I checked the options compared to my friend who has the same version and such and our settings are identical. Any ideas or thoughts? Its done it for the past 3 days.
Luke 42085 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 This is normal. If you don't want this, then you'll need to customize the settings in the server dashboard under Metadata.

I believe I turned it off, but it still generates. Metadata savers for NFO is off. It never did this until the last upgrade. Did something get reset maybe?

Sorry for not knowing, but what is that under? Is it metadata and then NFO? I don't see media types listed or i'm thinking of MKV's and such instead of what you're referring to?

The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is the first example I was trying to test with. Whenvever I go to refresh the missing metadata it literally add's NFOs to every episode in the season folder. Its done this for multiple shows but I tried to condense it down to one example. It seems to do it at 5 am every morning, unless I manually trigger. Attached are the metadata settings.

The image you show here is for movies - see under "Customize for media type" You'd need to modify it for "Season" if you don't want nfo in the season folder, and if you don't want any nfo for your episodes, you need to choose "Episodes" - maybe you have, but that's not what the picture shows.
