Daz42 5 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 This has happened to me twice now. The first time I had to rebuild my HTPC to get Emby working again. Now when I go to the dashboard, I get a blank screen and a spinning circle which I have left for hours. I have made no changes or applied any updates. Does anyone know what is going on? I am running Windows 7 Professional with MCE and the latest Emby Server.
Hedwig 1 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Same problem here... I did the latest update in the hope that the problem would disappear but no luck. I see now a partial home screen (without the folders) and a spinning circle which runs for ever.... Nothing is accessible... and after some mouse clicks the server even crashes. Rebooting the server does not help either.
Luke 42080 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 someone in other thread showed a similar screenshot and it turned out to be related to a particular version of firefox. If that doesn't help, then please see how to report a problem. thanks.

I have two other friends seeing the same problem - with Firefox, Chrome, Edge and IE11. The weird thing is that it is just happening on a broswe on the same server as the Emby server is running on. On a computer on the same network it works fine, on a computer from an external internet connection it works fine.
Solution Happy2Play 9782 Posted March 31, 2016 Solution Posted March 31, 2016 Do you by chance use ESET? 1
Daz42 5 Posted March 31, 2016 Author Posted March 31, 2016 Do you by chance use ESET? Yes, actually I do - along with the others affected. I'll try turning it off.
Daz42 5 Posted March 31, 2016 Author Posted March 31, 2016 I uninstalled ESET and it is all now working. Thank you for the TIP and I hope others find this useful. I am going to try a fresh installation of ESET but if that brings back the problem, I will log a ticket with ESET. Thank you 'Trial and Error'! 1
