Dizzy49 99 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I've been "fighting" with my Anime collection for quite some time. Issues with Absolute numbering vs Season numbering, and lack of Auto Organize. I was hoping that the Smart Matching would be the fix, but I don't get an option to save a smart match when I manually sort an anime episode. I have tried on files with the following naming schemes: [subGroup] Anime Title - XXX [720p].mkv Anime Title - XXX [720p].mkv Absolute numbering for both.
TSandman 4 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 If you have TheTVDB in your Series Metadata Downloader, it will be selected over both Anime scraperss (neither the AniDB nor the AniList one seems to work at all on my setup, dunno why). Since TheTVDB one will only use Season Numbering, to fix the same issue you had, I simply renamed everything Anime Title - SxxEyy - .* and it is populated relatively correctly It would be nice to have another Media Type to have different Scrapers for Anime... :/ 1

It's quite difficult when some series have several hundred episodes and I've always used absolute numbering. What's the point of the auto organize if I have to rename it anyway, I might as keep keep using absolute numbering and other software to detect and rename. Then we have shows like Assassination Classroom which has two seasons, but the titles are "Assassination Classroom" and "Assassination Classroom Season 2". It would be nice if the anime scrapers were used correctly, but given the other issues going on, I don't see this EVER being fixed.

Gintama, Gintama', Gintama` (2012), Gintama° AKA Gintama (2015).... I treat the anidb.net scraper as not-usefull/dead, even the images it pulls are lower quality than many other scrapers, coupled with all the info scraping problems it just doesn't work
