aleco25 1 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Hi all, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to Linux and running a server on DigitalOcean. I created a droplet with Ubuntu 14.04, successfully installed and started the Emby Server on the droplet. Awesome! The next part I'm having trouble with is accessing the server in my browser and starting the startup wizard. The droplet has an IP address, I try putting that in the URL bar in my browser, and I'm refused the connection.I created a separate droplet with an install of Wordpress and was able to connect to that one's IP address in my browser just fine.Am I missing a step or something? Any help on this would be much appreciated!
thefirstofthe300 292 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 You did try to connect to the public IP didn't you? It won't be 192.168.*.*. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

I'm attempting to connect to 159.203.***.*** It's the same IP address I use when connecting to the server with PuTTY. Is that the correct one to use?
thefirstofthe300 292 Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Yup. You also need to include the port number so it will be 159.203.*.*:8096 Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
