heula 192 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Mentioned this issue some time ago as a MBClassic bug and it was solved back then but the issue is back. This is the topic I started then. The premiered dates from episodes of series in the Netherlands and perhaps other countries outside the US are wrong. They are one day earlier then what it should be. See this images with the information from the tvdb and what MBClassic is showing. This image shows that the info is also wrong in the webclient.
cylon 15 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I have raised a Feature Request for movies which I believe would also apply to your TV episode issue: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/2867-use-release-date-from-earliest-date-the-movie-came-out/
heula 192 Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) Notice now that the date is still wrong at first but after manually refreshing the episode the date will appear like it should. When will the be fixed for real? Edited January 15, 2014 by heula
Tikuf 663 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Media browser isn't magic if there is a date in there media browser is happy it doesnt know it is wrong. It will likely be "fixed for real" when you refresh the items.

It will likely be "fixed for real" when you refresh the items. I has worked fine from the beginning of the server release until it didn't. Then I started a topic for that issue for MBC and ebr told me it had something to do with the timeline and it was fixed. Now I'm having this issue again for quite some time and now it it is a server issue I have been told. Posted it here and till now still no fix. It has nothing to do with magic but something that worked before and not anymore will not be "fixed for real" after a manual refresh of the episode.
cylon 15 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I just did some digging, here is where the metadata is being pulled from: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=episode&seriesid=104271&seasonid=523606&id=4737077&lid=13 There is no reference to 23-12-2013 or 2013-12-23 anywhere in the page source. So it looks like an MBS issue.
Tikuf 663 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Not saying it not an mbs issue. Notice now that the date is still wrong at first but after manually refreshing the episode the date will appear like it should. So therefore force refreshing your episodes fixes it. Or doesn't it? Are new ep wrong and then with a force refresh they are right? And quite seriously there are bigger things to spend time on (imho)

Are new ep wrong and then with a force refresh they are right? And quite seriously there are bigger things to spend time on (imho) When I open MBC the firts aired date of the episode is wrong like this. When I hit CTRl+R for a manual refresh the date does change to the correct date. like this. But it gets really weird now. When a scheduled task for refreshing the library has finisht it sets the date back to the wrong date. When I hit manual refresh the date is correct again. Isn't that magic? So what's the difference between a library update and a manual refresh? Off course that are are more important things (in the world) than this one issue.

heula 192 Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 @@heula Have you tried rebuilding your cache? Deleted the whole cache and ran a library scan. Still no joy after the first scan but after three times all dates were displayed correctly. Seems to be working now but the media scan isn't 100 % working after one scan like it seems. Will see what happens with newly added (European) episodes from now. If it stays this way I will mark it as solved.
heula 192 Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 Will not mark this solved because the issue remains. The premiered date in the webclient is still 1 day early and that's wrong. When I refresh an episode in mbc the right date appears and is corrected in the weclient also. So when all "more important" things are done I hope Luke will find the time to fix this.
