How can I turn OFF shuffle?

I'm running emby theater and the server on the same machine, using windows 10. The player works great reading the movies, but I can't get shuffle to turn off. I can find it, but when I click to deactivate it, it simply clears the box with the options from the screen without actually altering the setting. Any suggestions?

Hi, welcome. What exactly are you deactivating? Shuffle isn't generally something you turn off, rather, when you start playing you either choose play, shuffle, etc. Does that make sense?

I am trying to watch a season of a show, say Justice league, and it will not play the episodes in order, even though it lists them in the right order, if I let it play from one to the next, it shuffles. I can't make it stop.

I believe if you just hit play it will play the season in order instead of shuffling them.  I think they have it now so it will automatically start the next episode for you.

Nope. That's what I've been doing, I'm using the emby theater because I no longer have media center. When I hit play or play all, it automatically shuffles the eps and I can't get it to turn shuffle off.

The issue is we got a little ahead of ourselves and added the setting to the apps while the server feature was still in beta. In order to get the setting to stick, you can grab the beta server from the website, or just wait a few days and we'll have a new stable release. Thanks.

Hi there, can you please describe your issue in more detail? If you don't want to shuffle then just press Play instead of Shuffle.

i never use shuffle since it wouldn't make much since while trying to watch a tv show, all i do is select the tv show and push play or play next up and it plays the next episode in line then selects random episode to play next.

sure, watching CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (15 season totaling 337 Episodes) i click on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in the tv show folder and click play or play next lets say S3 E10  it plays it then jumps to S11 E18 and so on.

Hi, I would suggest renaming your files to a convention Emby is going to prefer such as those listed in our Knowlege Base.

um... thats pretty much how it is...., plus it just started doing this about a week ago and iv have emby for almost a year

Sorry but "CSI Season 1 Episode 01" is now where close.  But yes with this update things that worked before may not work now.  That naming scheme technically in not supported.

But a true example showing full path naming convention would be more relavent.
