smalik0 3 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I am on Emby version 3.0.5882.0, and I am very excited about this new "Smart Matches" feature for Auto Organize, as I have several shows on my server for which I must manually rename the filenames before they will be recognized. However, upon trying to use this feature, I discovered that the manual sort aspect of Auto Organize didn't seem to be doing anything. I was stuck on the screen below, with no loading indicator or any evidence that the show was being sorted. I tried clicking Ok and waiting it out, but after over an hour had passed, nothing had happened (it usually sorts files of that size in under a minute). Any tips, or is this a bug? Thanks
Dizzy49 99 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I ran across the exact same issue a few days ago. I agree, the Smart Match is a great feature... If it works... 1
NomadCF 15 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Same here, and even if I don't use the "Save and Apply" button and just click save. It leaves the "pop-up" or overlay and never moves and renames the file. And there is nothing in the logs to dictate why. 1
softworkz 5073 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Which version do you have? If you hit F12 in your browser and watch the console window while clicking OK, what does it say there?
NomadCF 15 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 @@softworkz All my servers run the latest beta (available to Debian 8 ) so right now they are on Version 3.0.5920.0. But this has been happening for sometime. I just figured it had to do with my unique setup. Sometimes I can fix the issue as it's due to library issue such as the case has changed along the path (and re-scanning the library doesn't fix always this. So I need to move the TV series out of the defined library path, re-scan the library make sure it removed all traces of that series, delete all info files from the series folder. Then move it back into the library path. This all stems from *my* needing all *my* files in lower case and emby only supporting saving in mangled case. Which is crazy simple to fix I just need "file pattern" add with something like "[L] %sn - %sx%0e - %en.%ext" that would indict that all naming for a show be run through "LCase" function, or even use make it completely flexible by use "StrConv" so that it could any of the of available options with the added benefit of drop in able code). The other way I've been able to fix this is by re-doing the metadata for a series. When this happens the Image for the show is right and the IMDB or other info broker ID is right. But all the other info & broker IDs are wrong. For example last night I needed to fix "the flash" again. The IMDB id was right & the image was right. And I could even hit the "identify" button and it would show me the right "new" version of the show. But all the info has for the old 1980/90's flash (I would have never realized it had the "status" if "ended" not caught my eye). I know where is a lock button for this kinda info. But that almost seems counter productive for a live ongoing show where the meta can / needs to change. What we really need is a lock for "External Id's"
softworkz 5073 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I remember reading a post where @@Luke stated that he is looking into a solution for this problem.
Ian-Highlander 147 Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Was going to start a thread about this exact thing. Since the upgrade to 5882, autoorganise works fine as long as it can match it without an issue. The problem happens when it can't match it, and now neither the old manual way of clicking the folder icon and telling it which to match it to or the smart match work at all. The only way to get some of them in is go and manually rename all the files, which can be a royal pain in the neck. Hope this is fixed soon.

This seems to be a different problem than the one described above (due to different casing). Please use the latest version and try again...
Ian-Highlander 147 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) Will try and get my test server updated to the latest release this weekend and see if the problem's solved. Didn't notice anything in the release messages about this functionality, but hopefully you're right and it's fixed in that. Edited April 15, 2016 by Ian-Highlander
Ian-Highlander 147 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Version 3.0.5913.0 has fixed this problem for me, auto-organise is working as expected again including smart matching.
softworkz 5073 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Good to hear and thanks for letting us know!
