Emby Theatre for desktop vs web playback

Hi,

 

I tested on 4 computers and when I use the web interface the four computers play well...

 

If I use the desktop version, 3 of 4 computers can't read a movie without a lot of glitches. All computers are on Windows 10, all tested with 4 Mbps and with all option combinaisons possibles (with madvr, Evr+, filter stable/edge...). What make the desktop playback so heavy? Windows Media player use? Interface?

The desktop app works better than the web interface for me. It direct plays all my files.

What do you mean by "glitches"?

I know the devs like to see logs to be able to understand what might be going on.

I get about equal playback in the Windows 10 client and the default web client under Chrome. I haven't really used the interface at tv.emby.media and I don't use Emby Connect. This is over Gigabit Ethernet. I don't limit bitrate and the client app should be direct streaming, not transcoding.

Ok thx I will test again to be sure. I spotted that version are different between web and desktop apps...
