Initial sync let RaspberryPi freeze repeatedly

Hi,

 

I have bought a new RaspberryPi 3 and installed Openelec with newest Beta plugin.

The initial sync runs some time and the pi freeze completely.

It takes some time until the screens blanks out and Kodi reapears.

The OpenElec bootscreen is not visible.

The initial sync starting again and reaches a liitle more off the work until the Pi freezes again.

 

This is running for several hours now.

 

The logs stopping without an error.

 

Any idea?

Hm, one thing you could try is enable the limit on cached artwork threads to 25 (under sync options). Sounds like that's might be the reason why it freezes and blacks out the screen (it is a known issue for rpi). Let me know.

Thanks, I changed the value and restarted the Pi.

With ssh I saw openelec is still running only the kodi process is dying.

 

Now it has verry fast finished the artists/albums and is now syncing the 11k songs.

The temperature of the Pi lowers from 73°C to 62°C

 

It looks like this is the solution.
