HDMI-CEC chromecast?

Is it possible to look into supporting HDMI-CEC on the chromecast?

It looks like the chromecast itself supports it as the pause.etc on my LG smartTV remote actually seem to take affect in the twitch.tv APP (I use the CC for stuff the TV itself doesn't support)

I think I was actually present just before the rebranding. I don't notify it was intentionally there or not but I know I could at least pause and play but not go forward or back.

Was this ever added to a list for requested features.  I saw the note about the recent rewrite of the Chromecast client but play and pause still do not work from my remote and they work in other Chromecast apps just fine.  I was hoping the rewrite would address this.

Is there any news on getting the CEC component working? The ability to pause and play the videos would be very very useful.
