Wheemer 50 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Hello; I have enabled real time monitoring but Emby fails to notice the new files. I've seen this problem with upgraded files only. If a newer higher quality show is downloaded, Sonarr replaces the old one and Kodi just offers to delete when trying to play because it's still pointing to the old file. I have just setup Sonarr to notify Emby in hopes of solving this issue. If I do a library scan in Emby it works within a minute in Kodi.
Luke 42083 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 The real-time monitor works on many file systems, but not all. It is also possible that you're just not being patient. It can take several minutes for changes to be reflected. But see how it goes with Sonarr.
Wheemer 50 Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 You are right about the patience... What happens is I'll watch a show and the quality is bad, so I use sonarr and select a better download. The download takes a couple mins and I see it finish, I wait up to 10 minutes and nothing happens. I click library update in Emby and within seconds it's appearing in Kodi and working properly. It would be great to have a feature in Kodi to kick off the library scan from within the TV interface. If I setup sonar to notify emby of all the downloads will that work? Is that the way it was designed? Maybe I can even disable real time monitoring if this is a good alternative.
