BorgSquared 2 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 (edited) Hello, The Xbox One media remote does not work with the emby theater web app. The only way to rewind/fast-forward and navigate is using the actual game controller. This is clearly not ideal as the controller turns off after a set interval of inactivity. I don't want to have to use a game controller when watching tv or a movie. I use my media remote for everything: netflix, amazon, hulu, oneguide, etc. Suddenly having to dig out a game controller and wait for it to turn on is pretty annoying. Sadly, this problem is the main reason I am not using the web app (that and lack of codec support - damn web browser) and still using DLNA (even though I have to later go and mark whatever I watch as played...). Please add support for the remote control. P.S.: Caret browsing works, but only for navigation. The only media controls that work are play/pause. Edited March 23, 2016 by BorgSquared
MrWebsmith 598 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 i'm pretty sure this is already being looked into/worked on, so stay tuned!
t10ake 0 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Any update on this one? I have Emby Theatre running beautifully on XBOX one - thank you all. the only remaining niggle is the media remote control buttons. To be specific, I am using a Harmony remote to emulate the XBOX one media remote control, and it works well. The minor niggle is that within Emby Theatre, the Play, Pause, FFWD, Rewind, Skip buttons do not seem to work. The buttons work fine in Netflix, and amazon prime, so I think it is an app specific issue. I can get around it in use by using the colour buttons and the d-pad, OK button etc; but it is confusing to the kids that those buttons don't work in Emby. Thanks for all the hard work on the development of theatre, it is brilliant! Tim
Luke 42078 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 We'll look at those for a future update of the app, thanks. 2
t10ake 0 Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I can confirm that since the last update on my xbox one, the media buttons are now working as expected. Thank you very much!
