Live TV - Automatic Conversion

Hello All,

 

Just enquiring on the "Automatically convert recordings to a streaming friendly format" setting on the Live TV Section of EMBY.

 

I have the setting enabled -> and using the default recording path but it isnt converting the wtv files that windows media centre creates. Is this a known limitation. Auto Update on current build, never tried the feature previously

This only applies to recordings from the built-in live tv features, not windows media center. if you'd like to convert recordings created by other software, check out the Folder Sync plugin:

so just so I understand, setup foldersync to move the recordings from ServerWMC to the path I specify in that setting page?

Then EMBY will convert them?

and if my assumption above is correct, wouldnt putting the same recording path for both achieve the same outcome?
