Emby on 216se - only for media organization

Hi, there!

 

Everywhere I read here on the forum about Emby on Synology, it seems people want to use it as a streaming server, with Emby doing all the transcoding process.

 

I just bought a DS216se, but I want to use Emby on it just to organize my media collection with metadata, posters and everything else, once I use Kodi to play the videos directly from the NAS. So, I don't need Emby to make any transcoding job.

 

Could you tell me if the DS216se specs will be fine to do what I want? Will be necessary to follow all the install procedure as shown at the topic?
