Auto BoxSets plugin doesn't work

hey

I installed the plugin and recreated my complete movie database to be sure nothing goes wrong.

Unfortunately Emby doesn't create any collections.

I pre-scrape my movies with an external scraper (Ember Media Manager) so I disabled every scraper in Emby except the scraper for collections. If I understood the instructions of the boxsets plugin aright enabling only the collections scraper should be enough and it should work?

What could be the problem here?

Regards

your movies are missing the moviedb collection id's which are provided by our internal scrapers that you disabled.

thank you

they have the IDs saved this way in .nfo file:

  <set tmdbcolid="93791">Anchorman Filmreihe</set>

If Emby can't read them in this format, how can I create the IDs without deleting my .nfo files?

we should just support that convention. we can do that in the future.

nice thank you,

just had an accurate look into my .nfo files, sets are actually saved in two ways:

  <set tmdbcolid="14890">Bad Boys Filmreihe</set>

and

  <tmdbcolid>14890</tmdbcolid>

thank's for your quick support.

Regards

thank's

with the new beta, Emby now seems to recognize my set IDs.

When I enter a movie and select "identify" it shows the tmdb collection ID.

Unfortunately I'm still getting no collections in my library.

Already made a full refresh of my movie library in metadata settings.

This means you have less then 2 movies from the box set.

If debug logging was enabled you would see lots of this.

Debug Auto Box Sets: Ignoring set because only has 1 member (needs at least 2).

the "Create BoxSets only if I have at least this many of its movies" is and was set to 2.

ok, I activated debug logging, here you see what's going wrong:

Yes, there are a lot of these:

2016-03-17 19:52:49.1308 Debug Auto Box Sets: Ignoring set because only has 1 member (needs at least 2).
2016-03-17 19:52:49.1308 Debug Auto Box Sets: Found box set 432 with 1 members.

but also:

2016-03-17 19:52:49.1308 Debug Auto Box Sets: Ignoring set because only has 2 member (needs at least 2).
2016-03-17 19:52:49.1468 Debug Auto Box Sets: Found box set 201576 with 1 members.

and:

2016-03-17 19:52:49.1468 Debug Auto Box Sets: Ignoring set because only has 3 member (needs at least 2).
2016-03-17 19:52:49.1468 Debug Auto Box Sets: Found box set 109076 with 1 members.

and so on...

Does the metadata contain the tag in post #7?  If not the plugin will not generate the virtual collection.

Those numbers seem rather high can you post a log.

no, emby creates this line (with TMDb meta data downloader for movies):

<collectionnumber>115570</collectionnumber>

also the IDs are saved from my external scraper as following:

  <tmdbcolid>8091</tmdbcolid>

which is recognized by Emby since the new beta

@@ebr, does the plugin need updated to recognized this format?

Posted

No, the plug-in should be insulated from any format changes in the source files.  It reads properties on the item.

mhh ok so what do you need to find out what's going wrong here?

More log files? (with without debug?)

Screenshots of my settings?

Seems to be a weird problem affecting only me...?

Could you post a server log.

@@ebr in post #12, is there a bug in the plugin, or just a bug in the logging?

That's a problem with the logging.  He must have multiple copies of the same movie (as far as tmdbID is concerned).

did the plugin get an update?

Just looked in my collections and now there was one. Now I'm refreshing my library (which can take a long time because of the new beta, actor thumbnail download seems to work too, thank's btw :-) ) and already have 4 collections.

Hope that it works now.

Thank you

If you are refreshing your library does the metadata now have <TMDBCollectionID>?
