Hi,

Do I need to uninstall 2.6.2 before installing MB3?

Best regards,

@@Bizzy - The short answer is that Media Browser 3 (MB3) consists of a Server and a Client component. The MB3 client component (Media Browser Classic) and MB 2.6.2 can NOT coexist on the same machine so MB 2.6.2 will need to be uninstalled....please keep reading. The server component must be installed first. Neither of these components should be confused with Media Browser Theater.

There are some very nice people that spent a lot of their time writing a server tutorial so that you don't have to spend a lot of your time on trial and error or fixing things later. Please do give a read here for the server and here for the client before you jump into what is a really nice and much improved Media Browser.

Hi, Thanks for the tutorials. I have read them but cant seem to add folders from my Synology Diskstation. I have triedby using the network button, but then I dont see any folders or drives. Then I tried  to fill in //10.0.0.3/Kids/ but again I can not go any further...Please help.

Update: Now I got it. But Now I see the Client isn't integrated in MediaCenter anymore...Is it possible to have MB classic and the Beta working next to each other?

Just manually add it, don't use the network button. So for instance with my Synology NAS my path is just:

\\diskstation\video2\tv

Thanks, I've succeeded with that.

Have chosen for the Beta version of the client, but believe my wife would like the classic more. Can I use  both on thje same machine?

I'm assuming the Beta version of the client you mean MB Theater? If so yes you can install MBT and MB Classic on the same machine.
