Resume not working correctly

Hi,

 

Resume does not seem to be working as it should. I started watching a movie last night and stopped it

 

 

Today started watching again and it resumed ok. However I had to pause it a few times and each time I came back and chose resume it played from where I stopped last night instead of where I paused today.

 

How does it mark the resume point? Do yo have to touch the "x"? I would think that if you pause and come back 5 min later it would resume from pause but again it just resumes from previous night
