Firetv: connect not working

Hi,

 

I'm am unable to use emby connect to login with emby for firetv stick.

 

The screen either stays gray or hangs at the screen with the various login options to return the the firetv homescreen after 30 seconds or so.

 

I can login by inputting my wan up but this is undoubtedly going to break as I don't have a static ip. Hence why I want to use connect.
