omemnow 2 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I'm having trouble installing server wmc within the emby application for windows 7. Every time I tried to to install server wmc and restart emby the application immediately became inacessable. I've tried to refresh install windows 7 OS several times but this error always occur. When I click emby program nothing happens after that.
Luke 42077 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 hi, can you please provide the emby server log? http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ thanks.
omemnow 2 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Hi. These are my server log files. I tried to uninstall/reinstall net frame 4.5 and emby but nothing works. When I open the software I can see it tries to open the server but disappears really fast. server-63593078096.txt server-63593078097.txt server-63593078151.txt
omemnow 2 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Yes. I even reinstall the OS to make sure. For some reason when I try to install sever wmc add on it asks me to restart the emby server. After restart the program stops working. Here's another log file after reboot. server-63593078907.txt
omemnow 2 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 I installed on another pc and it works fine. So it's a computer issue and not software. I'm thinking maybe after I fresh install the win 7 os I need to download all updates and then install emby to make it work. I'll try that when I get home and let you know. 1
omemnow 2 Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 No go. After fresh OS install with all updates same thing happens. The moment I installed server wmc addon the program stops working. I attached pictures and another log to review. Something is preventing the software to work right. server-63593150736.txt server-63593150737.txt server-63593150848.txt
Solution omemnow 2 Posted March 10, 2016 Author Solution Posted March 10, 2016 Update: Finally go it to work!!! Turns out my OS auto update doesn't install Win 7 SP1 by itself. After SP1 installation everything works! I'm glad I didn't give up. Now I can watch live tv over the net! 1
