Playing Kodi via Emby, per xnappo YouTube

So how do I accomplish this? At 4:45 min:

 

 

I really would appreciate all the settings ! I can see the Kodi tile under Emby Server Settings > Active Devices, but only with Kodi logo and white background. No stream view.

 

The problem with Emby Server I have (as other my posts indicate) is that the Video Bookmarks plugins only seems to accept a limited number of links/formats. Kodi's IPTV Simple Client works well with many, e.g., http://kodilive.eu/tv. Also I don't seem to be able to play the Twitch or ITV plugin either.

 

A newbie problem: Emby looks a great platform- beats Plex and overcomes its own few plugins problemby interfacing with Kodi, sans good doc

The active devices only populates while emby content is playing in Kodi.

 

I'm not sure for the rest. The Emby Twitch works in Kodi, at least for me it does. The Emby IPTV server plugin never worked in Kodi. I haven't really looked into it, because other things are more important at this time.

Isn't Emby the server with Kodi the client? What does it mean to play Emby content in Kodi? I thought it was the other way round, the impression I got from xnappo video too...anyway need some answers here !

 

Is the Emby IPTV Plugin the same as Video Bookmarks? Still confused...

Documentation is a real problem here, and trying to read through the forum posts is just hell. I looked at the Emby arch doc a while ago and it told me nothing really.
