Hi Folks,

Newbie here.

Running my VPS Vultr host Windows 2012R2 server online, with this Emby Server installed. What could be config problem as below? Tried a couple Emby Server and host server reboots.

I did get streaming to work with Kodi on same server via IVue2 or PseudoTV Live. And unchecked the Internet Explorer ESC security a while ago.

Can access this Emby Server from remote Chrome browser (but same no IPTV streaming situation, of course.)

Been trying to run some IPTV streaming video, using Video Bookmarks.

Keep getting Video Error- same with trying VLC player, my Chrome browser tab shows a long link with VLC in it, but remains blank.

Same browser in which Emby Server is running under localhost:8096.

1. I tried the following test Youtube video (works fine in my other Chrome tab):

https://youtu.be/Mr1KJR5UZjM?t=10

2. Also couple others from Youtube which worked fine independently in my Chrome browser tab.

3. And this IPTV channels link from YouTube (don't know how to test independently):

http://kodilive.eu/tv

4. Installed NextPVR but don't know what to do with it- no tut. Just uninstalled ITV Plugin, since no TV channel seemed to play, either. Twitch TV Plugin fails too, in same way- Video Err-There was an error playing the video.

EDIT:

As check, I installed first time a copy of Emby Server half hour ago on my Win7 home laptop. Same results, including for this clip, set at 720p, 1.5Mbps, down from max default resolution (that I just noted a setting for at the top right after hitting play button.)

You can't use youtube urls. That is a link to a web page. For us, our IPTV requres direct links to the videos. We do not scan the web page and try and find the video inside (although we do have a chrome add-on that can attempt to do that). Just search the chrome extension store.

Either way, with or without the add-on, you can't do that with youtube. I realize kodi might support that but it violates youtube terms of service, so we don't do that.

Yes but my problem of no IPTV stream goes beyond YouTube, including those direct video links ( I did not include all the links I tried.)

No link seems to work in Video Bookmarks or ITV, on either the Win2012 or Win 7, even though those links work in the same Chrome browser as the Emby Server opens in.

So if other folks don't have this issue, it must be some config problem...

I just installed the plugin, added a new stream with the following url:

http://html5demos.com/assets/dizzy.mp4

gave it a name of test. clicked ok. then clicked save. then went to browse the video bookmarks section, there it was, clicked play and it worked.

Your link works in native mode on both Win7 laptop and Win2012R2 Server (but not VLC mode, just gives  a blank screen.)

However, I am still unable to play Twitch. When I click on the video tile, it says Video Err !

So alternately,

[ See xnappo's YouTube at 4:45 min here:

So how do I accomplish this?

I really would appreciate all the settings ! I can see the Kodi tile under Emby Server Settings > Active Devices, but only with Kodi logo and white background. No stream view.]

1. Emby Server is now connected to Kodi, and Kodi tile also shows under Emby Server Settings- Active Devices (besides the tile for Chrome browser in which Emby Server is displayed.)

Both are on same Win2012R2 Server.

2. So, how do I now view the Kodi stream being played, on Emby Server  (currently IPTV Simple Client on Kodi is playing CNBC from http://kodilive.eu/tv, which did not play from Emby as noted above.)

I have minimized the Kodi window using the "\" toggle; it is not exited.

Once this gets configured, my goal is to view this original Kodi stream through the Emby Server on a remote Chrome browser.

Thanks !
