albadraco 0 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Ok.. so I have Two Emby servers (3.0.5882.0) running: 1. Windows 8.1, 64bit, 32gb RAM, SSD primary and a raid of 12TB. 2. Windows Server 2012 R2, 64bit, 64GB ram, SSD primary and 20TB disk raid. The problem I'm seeing, is I use a Roku Client for the family system (#1) and was using the Theater for the other Server (#2). Since the last couple of server updates neither the Roku nor the Windows Theater Clients can connect to server #2. BUT when is use ANY browser (IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox) to access server #2 it works just fine. The Roku just will not connect, and the windows theater never stops spinning. Any suggestions? Thank you -Thomas Edited March 6, 2016 by albadraco
Luke 42083 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Hi, is this still an issue? have you tried manual connection by entering the server address manually? thanks.
albadraco 0 Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 Yes it is still an issue and yes I've tried IP address manually with same results, So I tried making the server smaller by moving out most of the TV series (down to 60 from 500ish (many have several seasons)) and movies from 1000ish down to 42 (since it's the ultimate answer) and both Roku and Theatre started working.
speechles 2055 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 That shouldnt make a difference even with 5,000 movies and 1,000 tv shows I dont see the slowdown. Perhaps your database was cluttered? Do you ever run the clean databse task? Maybe disable the automatic file change detection and run the scan library task manually? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Luke 42083 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Yea i'm glad it's working but it has to be something else.
