Dan64 30 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 I have recently installed the version 3.0.5871 and I have discovered that now using the Metadata Manager is not more possible edit the images, open a movie or delete it. These options are now only available in the cover image. If this could be a viable solution for a small library used probably for just testing the server, for a huge library it's really a bad idea. I'm using emby server from the beginning and I have always found as fastest way to quickly reach a movie by navigating my library using the Metadata Manager. The find search utility is still to slow when is used on a huge library and don't allow to specify if one is looking for a movie or an actor or a music, making probably the search even slower and plenty of useless results. Please re-add the previous Edit menu on the Metatdata Manager.
Happy2Play 9781 Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Have you looked at the options in 3.0.5882.0?
Dan64 30 Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 (edited) As stated in the subject I'm using the previous version. The edit images is not enough. Since the Metadata Manager should be used to perform the administration of all the metadata, also the delete option shoud be added. It makes more sense to have this option in the Metadata manager than in the cover image. Also should be re-added the option to jump to the movie display window to check how the changes in the metadata (description, cover, and so on...) are displayed. In summary it's necessary re-add the previous menu that was clever and useful and not unseful like the current one. P.S. It's also possible add only the possibility to jump to movie display page so that all the functions currently available only in the cover image are easily accessible (but it's a longer way...)
