happymellon 3 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) Hi, I've been using Emby in Docker for a while, and it appears to be working fine, even the new media monitoring, but recently I've noticed that new videos are not appearing. From the logs I can see that the realtime monitoring appears to be working, as changes are picked up and processed but this then doesn't appear to translate into library additions. Not even basic videos with no metadata. 2016-03-02 05:26:13.8805 Info LibraryMonitor: /media/Movies/Action/Big.Trouble.in.Little.China.(1986).mp4 reports change. 2016-03-02 05:26:13.8805 Info LibraryMonitor: Action (/media/Movies/Action) will be refreshed. 2016-03-02 05:26:22.7241 Info HttpServer: HTTP GET http://xxxx:xxxx/emby/Users/924a11f7624f4106a5ef4b91cd749073/Items?Recursive=true&Limit=3&Filters=IsNotFolder&SortBy=DateCreated&SortOrder=Descending&ImageTypes=Primary&Ids=233d43b7b99ed78528d23e3c72b79aac. Should there be anything else printed to the logs, as those urls appear to be correct? Edited March 2, 2016 by happymellon
happymellon 3 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) No. Since it seems to only happen for me, I'm assuming that something must have changed and it can't write to the library but I would have expected an error. I've just added a music album to see if it is strictly a video issue. Edited March 2, 2016 by happymellon
happymellon 3 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 Adding a music album doesn't appear to solve the issue. Is the library just the /data/library.db library.db-shm, library.db.wal? I may try backing it up and removing and then getting Emby to regenerate in case it became corrupted somehow.
Luke 42077 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 it's usually better to try and get to the bottom of it instead, but if you want to try that, just shutdown the server and delete library.db
happymellon 3 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 No, I agree that getting to the bottom of it would be preferable. Unfortunately nothing appears be be added to the logs. What would you expect to see logged under the normal scenario?
Solution happymellon 3 Posted March 5, 2016 Author Solution Posted March 5, 2016 So I enabled debug, and that didn't help, but after some playing about this appears to be something to do with the scanner, it must act differently to Kodi because that handled this name. But I ripped this and named it "Big.Trouble.in.Little.China.(1986).mp4" with the date in brackets to assist in searches. I guess your scanner doesn't like this. So I removed the brackets and "Big.Trouble.in.Little.China.1986.mp4" imported fine. So the rule is year in brackets if you are using spaces, and without and at the end if you are using dots?
