Interesting Feature with Photos

I've been playing around with the Emby for Kodi addon and it's all working well. However it highlighted an interesting "feature" of my Emby Library. I have a lot of photo folders, each with varying numbers of photos in them. One of them was only showing one picture rather than the several dozen I expected. This was happening within Emby itself. I checked the folder in file station and yes, there were lots more photos than Emby was displaying. I checked the metadata and again there was just this one file showing.

 

Then I noticed that the file which was being displayed was actually a .mov video, the only one in the folder. I moved it out of the folder and after a library rescan, lo and behold all the pictures which I was expecting to see had reappeared.

 

So is this something I should expect? i.e. Never put a video in a photo folder?

 

I'm running Version 3.0.5870.0 on a QNAP TS-251+

 

Apart from that little surprise everything is working great and I'm very pleased with the setup.
