underhight 0 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Hello all! I've read the movie naming setup and need a little help with this. How can i add some text to a folder name in a way that this text will be ignored when emby tries to detect the media info? I need something that works the same way as in files where the content inside brackets are ignored. In my scenario i need to store the different versions (eg.: 720p and 1080p) of the same movie in different paths. Eg: /movies/Titanic (1997) [720p]/Titanic (1997) - 720p.mkv /movies/Titanic (1997) [1080p]/Titanic (1997) - 1080p.mkv The way i've described above doesn't work, as emby tries to fetch data with the texts "[720p]" and "[1080p]". Creating a folder for files in 720p (like /movies/720p/Titanic... ) and another folder for 1080p isn't an option because the "version" isn't limited only to those types, they vary in quality, source, date and others. Is there any way that i could make this work the way i described? Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Hi, welcome. We do have naming conventions for multi-resolution: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Movie%20naming If you want to go with your own convention then it might be a little tricky. Since you can't currently configure your own ignore patterns, you might just have to use the web interface to correct the content that gets mis-identified.
underhight 0 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 My problem with the current multi-resolution approach is that the files are grouped together by default in the web interface. I need then to show as different media, without needing to do any manual action to separate they. Can you help me with that?
underhight 0 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) A solution that i found is to put both files in the same dir, and append a text - inside brackets - in each one. That way emby recognize then as different files. Like this: /movie/Titanic (1997)/Titanic (1997) [version 1] /movie/Titanic (1997)/Titanic (1997) [version 2] It works the way i want, but in the web interface (when searching for the media) i see 3 itens: Titanic (1997) [version 1] - OK Titanic (1997) [version 2] - OK Titanic (1997) (a folder that doesn't show anything besides the media images) - NOT OK Edi: here is a screenshot to show what i'm saying: How can i hide that folder from showing in the web interface? Luke 42077 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 can you show the fullscreen shot of that page? thanks.
underhight 0 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Sure. But as i said this folder item is only visible in search.
