Shouldn't thumb.ext be landscape.ext in XBMC compatibility mode

movies, series, music, or all?

Well, sure about TV shows and Movies.

Music, absolutely no idea...

***There is no skin that I could find that actually uses the thumbs...

Only NOX is "kind of" using it but it uses a combination of the fanart and logo/title to emulate a thumb.

So still best to use landscape.ext as it avoid the poster issues in some skins and artwork downloader addon (which I think we can rely on) is doing this for thumbs...

Basically, as long as there is no thumb.jpg, that what works...

I can't find any confirmed (official from XBMC) information on thumbs (only for episodes)

So, since the only reference we have is artwork downloader and everybody's happy (and besides the thumbs, everything is fine), here are the changes that I suggest:

Thumb.jpg -> landscape.jpg

seasonXX-thumb.jpg > seasonXX-landscape.jpg

BUT, I wouldn't change the extra folders at all (same naming convention)

Using as reference:

-My own testing

I think everybody should be happy with those changes..

I've been testing with Fatal a bit and "landscape.ext" might be the best way to go for thumbs.

In XBMC in some skins/views, when using landscape.ext, thumbs are recognized and no more of this poster issue.

**I tested it with the most popular skins (MQ5, ACE, NOX, etc...)

Just to chime in on this, I've had issues with skins trying to use the thumb.jpg image instead of poster.jpg. I posted in the XBMC forms here for a specific skin thread,

but the response was "This is because Aeon Nox uses ListItem.Art(poster) for their image where as Immersive uses the all-inclusive ListItem.Thumb."

I just wanted to pass this information along to see if it helps in determining where to go next. It seems that Mediabrowser would want to use the all-inclusive naming, as I've had the same issue on a few xbmc skins, but I'm not sure if this would be a better option down the road
