nick naim 18 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I recently installed the Studio Cleaner plugin to make some of the studio names consistent (e.g. map "BBC" to "British Broadcasting Corporation" or "Canal Plus" to "Canal+", etc.). I later realized that after the first library scan, the plugin does not allow new studios to be added, when new movies are added to the library, unless I manually enter the studio name to the list. This behavior does not make sense to me and I think the plugin should allow mapping studio names to other ones (like in my examples above), but still add new studio names from new movies. To mitigate this issue, I tried uninstalling the plugin. After I uninstalled it, the icon disappears from my plugin list and I get a notification to restart Emby server to finish updating. But once I restart Emby, the plugin reappears. So my questions are: 1. Would it be possible to change the Studio Cleaner plugin's behavior, so that it will allow new studio names to be added automatically, when new movies are added to the library and still map studio names to other studio names? 2. Is there another way to uninstall the Studio Cleaner plugin? Do other people have the same issue? 3. I don't see an option to reset the settings for this or any other plugin. Nor is there an option to disable a plugin. I believe this would be a good feature for all plugins. I'd appreciate any feedback/help. 2
ebr 16169 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Studio Cleaner was created from Genre Cleaner so that's why it behaves that way. With Genres, you are trying to define only the ones you want to see and throw away all the other garbage. I agree, though that Studios should probably be different and just translate the ones you define and leave the others alone. @@snazy2000 you think you can make that change?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 2. Is there another way to uninstall the Studio Cleaner plugin? Do other people have the same issue? Tested this in beta 3.0.5892.0 and the plugin will not uninstall. So if you want to remove/uninstall the plugin you will to remove the dll file from %appdata%\Emby-Server\plugins and the configuration xml from %appdata%\Emby-Server\\configurations
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I don't know what the issue is but I can't uninstall this plugin on any server version. stable-beta-dev But plugins are easy enough to remove via the folder.
nick naim 18 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 I appreciate your replys! I am glad that I could uninstall the plugin with Happy2Play's workaround. Will install again if the plugin gets the new features. On a side note: It is great to see that Emby is so actively being developed and gets new features and improvements on a regular basis! Thanks for that!
