AvengersFan 10 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) Hello all, question re folder naming convention for AutoOrganize. I name my season folders "Series Name Season 1". I have noticed that AutoOrganize dosent seem to recognise my folder naming convention and will make another folder called season 1. Is there a way to make auto organise check the folder a little more dynamically? ie so that it sees "Series Name Season 1" and dosent create another folder called season 1? Thanks in advance for your help. Edited February 27, 2016 by mrf0ster
Luke 42080 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Hi, currently it does not do this, but it's not a bad idea to find where your other season 1 episodes are and use the same folder. 1
Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Looks like some of the supported patterns will need to be added to Season folder pattern. 1
AvengersFan 10 Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 Thanks guys, look forward to potentially an update for auto-organise at some stage in the future. Cheers Mark.
AvengersFan 10 Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Awesome! Working a treat, so thank you very much team! One further question re file extensions to be deleted in the folders. Is this a requirement before the folder can be deleted? The reason I ask is that my folders remained after Auto Organise had done its magic even though I had ticked the Delete Folder after move check box. Now admittedly, there were some left over files there, for example .jpg, .cc, .txt. and a .srt. Is it possible to have an option to ignore the remaining files after moving and just delete the folder once the move has taken place? I guess I am being lazy in not having to complete all the possible file extensions that may be downloaded with that particular show I have decided to download? (Or can I use *.* without fearing that may delete the actual video?) Thanks again, you have made my life so much easier! Cheers, Mark Edited March 14, 2016 by mrf0ster
AvengersFan 10 Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 Hi everyone, this seems to be happening again. I have a season folder called "Series Name Season 1" but the server seems to have reverted back to ignoring that folder and creating a new folder called "Season 1" when auto organising video files. This only seems to be happening on random shows, not on all shows? Cheers Mark
Luke 42080 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Check that the seasons have a season number defined
AvengersFan 10 Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) Hi Luke, this has only started to happen again recently. Sorry I am not sure what you mean by the above, all I can say is that all my season folders are named the same way. All of the new folders created lately seem to be ignoring the one already there populated with previous episodes, nfo files etc. I have managed to take a snippet from the debug log regarding a show called Dead of Summer, and the entire log that it came from is in the zip file. (I was pretty big). Hope that helps or if I am doing something strange this end, please let me know. And sorry for the late reply! AvengersFan 10 Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) Can anyone help me debug this ongoing issue? For some reason auto organize will randomly create a new "Season 1" Folder ignoring the already created "TVSHOWNAME Season 1" Folder. I dont know why this happens randomly every so often. For example, some shows will auto organize up to episode 7, then all of sudden episode 8 cannot find the season folder and Auto Organize (?) will create a new Season 1 Folder and place the show in there instead of the already created TVSHOWNAME Season 1 which it had successfully added prior series episodes too with no problem. One of the annoying things with this is that once I clean up the folders and place the episodes in the earlier created folder, it plays havoc with my kodi Front end. Kodi cannot see the episodes and I have to do a complete resync! Its just a little annoying is all :-( Cheers, Mark Ignoring The Night Of Season 1 already created Season folder, and making its own Season 1 folder.txt Full Error Log.txt Edited August 3, 2016 by mrf0ster
Solution Luke 42080 Posted August 4, 2016 Solution Posted August 4, 2016 It should already be doing this. if you open the season detail screen in the web interface and click edit, does the season have a season number? 1
AvengersFan 10 Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Hi Luke, yes you are right. For some reason, even though my physical folder is called Series Name Season 1,2 or 3 etc, in the web interface or meta data manager section, some folders are called Season 1,2 or 3 etc, (No Series Name) I will go through and rename on the Emby Server side of things and hopefully it will not rename itself back to Season 1,2 or 3 without the Series name. Appreciate the assistance. Cheers Mark
