mcpllabelle 8 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I have intro videos that I have playing before the main feature. They work fine when streaming from the Home network since they're not transcoding, but when streaming externally the server transcode them which makes them freeze and stutter. I tried with my smartphone connected to the home network and it deodnt transcode but if I stream connected with the same device externally the server transcodes it. Any idea why? Thanks!
Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 You server log and transcode log could explain why. Do you have a internet streaming bitrate limit set? http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/
Luke 42083 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Hi, it could be any number of factors. Take a look at our wiki on transcoding: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Transcoding Scroll down to the section titled Why is my media transcoding? Let us know if you still have any questions. Thanks.
