ebr 16169 Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 That's the latest release but there is a new beta available. I can kind of reproduce this issue with the following scenario: 1) Have the app configured to automatically log in as a user 2) Shut down my server while the app is up and running (simulates you losing the connection over the WAN) 3) Log out - this produces the empty user screen because we cannot retrieve the users from the server anymore 4) Back out and then come back in At that point, the app crashes but without an exception or any logging and, it appears, it is crashing inside of a common library we are using so it is very difficult for me to debug it from there. What I can do to correct it once that has happened is to go into the FTV app settings and Force Stop the Emby app. I can then re-start it fine from the device home. A couple things I think you can have them try to mitigate this until we can figure out exactly what is crashing: 1) Set the app auto logoff to 30 minutes or one hour. This should greatly reduce the situations where the app is running while the connection to the server is lost. 2) Setting the app to not automatically log in as a specific user will probably also mitigate this situation because it won't be trying to connect to a server it cannot find in these instances.

For the timeout, I'm assuming the auto logout only occurs if the app is idle for that long right? Interestingly enough, the app in these cases is setup to auto login. I'll try setting the auto logout period today to see if it helps.
ebr 16169 Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Yes, that is an idle period (which excludes actual playback). I'm pretty sure this would only happen if the app is configured to auto login. That's what I had to do to reproduce it.
