DannyN 1 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Using Amazon Fire TV, both the Emby App and HDHomerun app. Direct play, using embedded player. Tested direct antenna connection to TV. Also, after connecting HDHR, shows strength at 85%+. HDHR app shows near flawless Live TV thru the HDHR app in Fire TV. Using Emby App, with Live TV and Schedules Direct, several channels are jagged/stuttering, some with those horiz black lines with motion... About to pull my hair out. Any thoughts on this? Thank you
ebr 16187 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Sounds like maybe interlacing that the HDHR app is able to detect but we cannot for some reason.
DannyN 1 Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 But it's a direct play through isn't it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ebr 16187 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 But it's a direct play through isn't it? Exactly - so VLC must not be doing the de-interlacing properly. If you turn off VLC or turn off "Direct stream Live TV" is it good?
DannyN 1 Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 It's worse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ebr 16187 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Can you better describe "worse"? Also, can you confirm exactly how it is playing? The OSD will tell you something like "Direct/V" or "Trans/I".
DannyN 1 Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 Yes, Direct/V. I've tested other settings to no avail. It's hard to explain, but, movement is jerky. Also, at times, you'll see horizontal black lines with movement. Bypassing everything and running antenna direct to tv is fine and smooth. I would be glad to attach loss if you can tell me which ones . Thanks much Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ebr 16187 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 So when you turned off VLC, you still saw "Direct/V"?
DannyN 1 Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 No....but it was worse.....I've plugged an ethernet line to the Firetv and getting more of the jagged lines.....im running a Uverse router. I've jacked with all the servings in AFTV trying to find a clue. Again, HDHOMERUN app runs great https://vimeo.com/156929723 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DannyN 1 Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 I'm running a thread on the Firetv section. There is no problem viewing on iOS iPhone 6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Those are interlacing artifacts.
DannyN 1 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Trans/I. Video is better but still has the horizontal lines with movement. Interestingly, from the Schedules Direct, EPG, the channel will only play for a couple of seconds then fall back to the grid, but not every time.... Actually, from the normal link, the feed will drop..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited February 28, 2016 by DannyN
