Sound Clipping

In have a Centos 7 box playing through the Samsung TV App. It's all ran wired through a Gig switch. Sometimes during a movie the sound clips for a split second, only enough to miss a word. I was wanting to know is this a bandwidth issue or hardware.

It's a inexpensive server setup;

AMD Phenom II X4 945 Processor

8 GB RAM

7200 RPM HHD

 

I have an i7 4770 processor and in the process of building a "beefier" machine.

Any ideas as to why this is happening.

 

The files are usually mkv.
