GoodGuy98 0 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I have Emby Server Ver 3.0.5871.0 running and am able to login using Firefox web browser. When I start Emby Theater Ver 1.0.45. It asks me to go to emby.mebia/pin and enter the PIN which I do, It pauses for a few moments and displays a logon type screen with three colored boxes. I have tried clicking on the leftmost Server name and also the rightmost Emby Connect one. After a few seconds, it tells me it can not connect. I read the connectivity wiki and added the port 8096 inbound as documented, but the problem still occurs. I have attached log files from the server and theatre. When I tried Emby for Kodi, it also seemed unable to connect. Emby Server is running on a local 192.168.1.xxx IP address. server-63591731588.txt server-63591737430.txt server-63591741544.txt theater-63591726815.txt theater-63591742132.txt
Guest asrequested Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 (edited) So you can't connect with any app? Is ET on the same computer as the server? Edited February 23, 2016 by Doofus
GoodGuy98 0 Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 Yes Emby Theatre is on the same PC. I updated Emby Server to Version 3.0.5887.0 (Beta) and Emby Theatre to Version 1.0.46. The problem is still occurring. Emby Theatre asks me to enter the PIN number and I do. It displays a spinning circle for a few seconds and displays a screen with my Emby Server name on the left and Emby Connect on the right. I click on the left symbol and it spins again but returns an error message "Unable to Connect" and redisplays the same screen.
Luke 42077 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 if you try the manual login, does that work?
GoodGuy98 0 Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 @@Luke When I tried the Manual Logon, I entered localhost and the default port it worked. I may have tried entering 127.0.0.0 earlier instead of 127.0.0.1 or localhost when I attempted a Manual Logon an earlier day.
