FLAC files direct play in NEW app, error out in legacy app

So I am setting up a theater box for one of my family members to access my stuff, and I am at an end on trying to figure out what the hell is going on.  If I use the new app, files work perfectly, 100%, if I  use the legacy app, anything with FLAC audio fails to play, subtitles also refuse to render no matter what I do, but work perfectly fine on the new app.  I have figured out how to get 10 bit x264 and x265 to play by turning off hardware acceleration, as auto does not appear to work (legacy app), but FLAC is the last bastion of hell.

I myself have an Emby premiere subscription, but my family member refuses to use paypal, etc because they don't want to put their credit or bank information online.  I don't want to give them my login, because that is against the terms, and I am just not comfortable with not giving Luke and company their due.

I have gone through config after confiig, have even tried the external player option, which my server will say it is direct playing, but the external player says "file not found"

7 illusions helped me a lot with the app issues I was having with x265 with the windows app, so I am hoping someone can help me with this issue with emby theater.transcode-5dd6d83e-37e7-46e2-a560-343ad897c296.txttranscode-49fa3bf7-fa4e-451a-92b1-6b4d79e6af25.txttranscode-ba975307-06f2-44b0-90e2-2662b0594d41.txt

Hi, these are videos with flac audio?

Yes these are mkv files with FLAC audio.  Everything plays awesome on the new app, but FLAC appears to not want to play on the old one.  I know the old app is no longer being worked on, and with Emby for Kodi not supporting Emby Connect, I am slowly going mad, insane I tell you!

Also, it appears that after the 1 minute preview ffmpeg continues to run on the server.  I remoted in and wondered why I had 4 copies of FFMPEG running pinning my e5-2670 to 100% usage.

If it helps, the audio is 24bit FLAC.  As I said they play perfectly in the new app.  Holy schweet jebus is that new Emby Theater freaking awesome.  You really need a buy option, cause I am sure a lot of us have people who just view, and don't have servers so they don't want to pay for emby premiere.  Specially with the new Cherrytrail pc's that have come out.  I have picked one up from geekbuying, and if it works, it's cheaper than a Roku4, and does x264-x265 hardware decode and will allow direct streaming of ALL files. weeeeeeeee!
