runtimesandbox 171 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 We’ve updated our Chromecast app with new features. Now, anytime you play an individual episode, the following episodes in the series will be automatically queued for easy continuous play. This makes Emby for Chromecast the perfect choice for binge watching your favorite series. Would it be possible to make this feature decidable by the user than a forced option? Even an On by default, Off if you prefer. I tend to chromecast epsiodes when I am off to bed and just want to watch one episode, I usually set my TV to turn off after X mins dependind on what I'm watching. I would prefer if I had the option to disable auto play so my watched items don't get messed up. Hope this makes sense 1
ressu 13 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I'd love to be able to disable this as well. My reasoning is that the chromecast is severely crippled when using it from the mobile app. After the first episode there isn't any way to control the playback from the mobile app. This means that if I want to watch just one episode, there is a mad dash to log in from the desktop computer in the other room to stop the playback at the end of an episode. It's a nice feature, but other issues make it really annoying at the moment.
BAS 225 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 +1 from me on a way to disable this, i was in bed thinking I might try to watch one episode and fell asleep to it, now the rest of the season is marked watched. 3
