biggggant 0 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 My watch statuses are not sticking. I am accessing my server remotely via chrome. I click on latest under TV or I click Shows and I see that I have shows with unwatched episode counts. I will click on the shows then click the checkmark to mark all episodes watched, I click refresh and verify that either the seasons or the shows all have checkmarks. I'll watch a few other episodes then I am done for the day. I log back into my server the following day and notice shows that I marked watched or episodes that I have previously watched sometimes will show an unwatched count. So I'll go back in and click the checkmark again and rinse and repeat. Sometimes the shows stay watched. I think this is happening with movies too but I have been paying more attention to TV shows. I access my server via the remote login using my IP and the port for emby that I have forwarded through my router. I work from home but I have to connect to our company VPN so thats why I have to connect remotely. I am using the kodi add-on on the machine that hosts my emby server but I have not used Kodi in the past few days. Server Version is 3.0.5871.0 Log is attached. Not sure if that will be helpful since I am not sure when the statuses fell off.
ebr 16184 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Two possible points that could cause this: 1) Trakt plug-in if you have it installed 2) Kodi nfo files if you enabled watched status syncing with Kodi in metadata settings
biggggant 0 Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) Hi EBR, Thanks for the quick response. I am not using trakt but I did have sync user watched statuses with nfo's. What options do I have to fix this? Thanks, Ant Edited February 18, 2016 by biggggant
ebr 16184 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 If you had that option on then it sounds like it is doing what you told it to. If you want to use Emby and its user features, you probably don't want to enable that.

I thought that setting would sync the status between kodi and emby so something watched in emby would reflect that status in kodi..I was confused lol
ebr 16184 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 It goes both ways I believe but is only necessary if you use straight Kodi (without our add-on).
Luke 42079 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 If you have other programs such as sonarr making changes to your nfo files, then disable that. we have seen this in the past where they update the nfo file but don't preserve the watched data
