rblu19 3 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I'm not sure what's changed (the upgrade, possibly?), but auto-organize no longer works. The shows all show up as red, the same as they would if there was no folders for the shows. Manually trying to sort them (pressing the little folder icon and selecting the show, I mean) also does nothing. I've changed nothing other than a server upgrade, and I've made sure that all the paths (e.g. the unsorted tv files folder) are in order. Any ideas? Server version is 3.0.5880.0 beta. Log below. server-63591352335.txt
carlbme 13 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) Yup, same problem I had. It shows in your log "Access is denied". I had to re-apply the permissions to the folder and then go back to the Auto-Organize and then click on the folder icon. At this point they turned green and started moving. When I went to apply the permissions it still showed as the permissions correct, I just reapplied them anyway and it worked. Edited February 18, 2016 by carlbme

Looks to me like there's no auto-organize issue here. it is trying to organize the files, but your file system is not allowing it. 2016-02-18 01:29:36.2746 Error App: Failed to move file from \\RYBL-PC\Users\RyBl\Videos\media\[Unsorted_TV]\Face.Off.S10E06.Deaths.Doorstep.720p.HDTV.x264-DHD[rarbg]\Face.Off.S10E06.Deaths.Doorstep.720p.HDTV.x264-DHD.mkv to \\RYBL-PC\RyBl\Users\RyBl\Videos\media\TV\TV\Face Off\Season 10\Face Off - 10x06 - Death's Doorstep.mkv Access to the path is denied. I've tried what I thought would work, but now not only does it not work, but the file won't even show up as failed - it fails to show up at all in the log. The file is still in the folder (and I even re-added it as the watch folder, just to be sure), and it hasn't copied it to the show folder or anything. What's my next move? Server log included from my attempt to organize, hopefully if what I did had any effect that just knowing how to re-apply permissions can't fix on its own the log can point the way. server-63591399846.txt

rblu19 3 Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 And how exactly would I fix that? I have given the folder full permissions, and given every folder up the line full administrative permissions. Any idea what to do next? I'll reinstall the server if I have to, but since it sounds like it's not because of the program, which means short of the nuclear option (hard reboot of computer, seems a bit extreme), I'm completely lost.
pritch33 5 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 (edited) Also having same problem, Started a couple of days ago not sure which version but I am now running version 3.0.5881.0 as of today. I tried rerunning server over the top last night also rechecked permissions and file location all seem fine? Thanks Ray Just looked at dates on my last downloads for TV and they are dated 14/02 so problem has been since then. server-63591471684.txt Edited February 19, 2016 by pritch33

Error getting files from G:\Torrent The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.
pritch33 5 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Thanks for the reply but what does that mean. G:\Torrent does exist and the file name is not more than than 248 characters or does 248 characters mean something different than the location name? Will try and change my location for torrent downloads and re assign the location in Emby to see if that helps. Thanks Ray
pritch33 5 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Ok so I just created G:\test and moved 4 episodes across and worked fine. I do have a few very large music files (discographies) in the other location that where recently downloaded, would this be cause of to many characters as in names in the folder?? Thanks Ray

Make sure the network path is accessible and that the windows user account that runs emby server has access to it.

pritch33 5 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Thanks, all working again. rblu19 sorry for cutting in thought it may have been relevant. Ray
