Name of my server is changed but I never changed it

I havent used emby for couple months due to being always sick. Now im back and i updated it to latest server, but i see my server name is Jester, i never named my server Jester before, so is my server compromised? How do i change the name? Also when i hit delete Jester, it keeps going on timer and never end. Please help thanks.

If you go to Dashboard-Server-Settings-Friendly Server Name you should see your custom server name.  When you select Jester does it take you to your server?

yes it does take me to my server, but i never named it Jester or did Emby do it automatically, and thanks for reply.

As far as I know by default that field is blank and only a user with "Allow this user to manage the server" privileges can add custom server name.

Sorry big mistake its the user name its called Jester, the server is blank, sorry, again user name is the problem, cant change it. OR HOW TO?

So you are saying a user named "Jester" was created on your server and you are unable to delete that user?

It seem that your OS login/account name, so the server take that name, you can rename the friendly name for your server as Happy2Play said.

I forgot to explain more, let say you login to your windows with the account "Jester" and the:

 

As far as I know by default that field is blank and only a user with "Allow this user to manage the server" privileges can add custom server name.

 

Then the Emby server will use that name for indication, clear?

 

If you want to change that, simply at the above option, name whatever you want.

 

So, it not a user name, it the emby server name that use same name as your windows login name.

BTW, some users for windows use computer name other than the login name, I am one of them, so my computer name is: Father

 

Emby server use that if the "Friendly server name" left blank.

 

If that not the case with you, then post emby server log.
