DarkKniyt (John) 6 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I know there has been some discussion on this before but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere, so... My questions is: Is there any plans for handling a movie with both 2d & 3d versions in the same folder and being able to select which one to watch? Also, how are others handling this at this time? I have a separate folder for my 3D Movies but am not happy with this solution. Thanks for the input!
Tikuf 663 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Yes sort of. We have some plans for 3d movies (not quite the way you describe) . We will implement at some stage however there are other things we are working on that need immediate attention. 1

Would the solution the team has in mind also cater for having SD and HD versions of the same item (ala Plex)? So a selection for 2D/3D/SD/HD depending on what is present? As always, thanks to you and the team on an outstanding product.
Tikuf 663 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Bit of a secret atm but I think you guys will like it . 2
tman 47 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Any update on this? Is there now a way of having 2D and 3D versions of the same movie in a single folder, allowing you to select which one you want to watch?
CBers 7450 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) You can have 2D & 3D movies in the same folder, but not 100% sure that the server is tagging them correctly. Have a read of this: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/7484-3d-in-collections/ . Edited May 27, 2014 by CBers
Beardyname 198 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I "believe" you can also group movies in the web-ui which will allow the server to choose which version is best for each client request.
