2d & 3d of same Movie?

I know there has been some discussion on this before but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere, so...

My questions is:

Is there any plans for handling a movie with both 2d & 3d versions in the same folder and being able to select which one to watch?

Also, how are others handling this at this time?

I have a separate folder for my 3D Movies but am not happy with this solution.

Yes sort of.

 

We have some plans for 3d movies (not quite the way you describe) .

 

We will implement at some stage however there are other things we are working on that need immediate attention.

Would the solution the team has in mind also cater for having SD and HD versions of the same item (ala Plex)?

 

So a selection for 2D/3D/SD/HD depending on what is present?

You can have 2D & 3D movies in the same folder, but not 100% sure that the server is tagging them correctly.

I "believe" you can also group movies in the web-ui which will allow the server to choose which version is best for each client request.
